What Credit Card Problems Could You Encounter?
The digitalized world is right in front of us now, which makes the paper money even more redundant than five or ten years ago. We can live anywhere in the world, but we’d still be urging towards a good Visa, MasterCard, or maybe an American Express. Still, there are a couple of questions that are left unanswered regarding them: do they help us in our strive to live an accommodating and comforting life, in this liberal-capitalistic maze that we populate; and even more importantly, do they make us safer, or not?
Do We Need Credit Cards?
The first question can and should be answered affirmatively, yes, we need credit cards and unfortunately many of us need them badly. We may need them for the outdoor shopping, for the late rent, for our mortgage, or for some other reason, whatever the one may be, but we’re more than aware that we need them all the time. But, on the other hand, can we take our illusion of comfort and stability for granted, or are there some credit card problems, and a general price we should all be aware of?
The latent credit card problems and unpleasant scenarios do occur, even under the protection of the law and its’ tight regulations, such is The Fair Credit Billing Act. Of course, The Act protects you from some of them, especially from the fraud of the merchants in their, unilateral side of the purchasing contract, but there still is a lot to consider and revise before applying for a new credit card.
The Biggest Credit Card Problem…
The main of the credit card problems, that may, or may not, give you some intense headache in your financial life is its’ possible overuse by yourself, as the applications’ originator, and of course by the people you trust enough to let them use the card. If you don’t want any credit card problems, you must be aware of your actual money liquidity at any time of the card usage: how much can you afford at the moment and what is the sum of the debt you’re willing to live with? If you do happen to fall in a debt that you can’t deal with, and you have more credit cards that you don’t know how to handle, learn about the debt snowfall method, and start with the interest pay back on the highest interest cards prior to the other ones.
The actual theft of your card(s) may be the next of the credit card problems you shall possibly encounter. That can happen physically, in which case you simply cancel the card, and wait for the new one; or it may happen virtually, through the online identity theft phenomenon, which is getting stronger and tougher to fight as we speak.
You must be aware that any wrongful doing with the credit card, by yourself or your trustees, shall negatively impact your balance information and history payment records, because of the bad credit report that you’ll receive from the bank. So, if you don’t want any credit card problems, guard it safe, try to be fully informed about your credit card rights and liabilities and be completely aware of the purchasing power you currently possess.
